Dear Dondes family:

I wish to convey my sincerest condolences to your entire family. Losing a loved one in death is one is one of the hardest things that anyone will ever have to deal with. There is a great hope held out to us for the future because God promises to bring those we lost back to life by means of a resurrection to a paradise earth, where sickness and death will be no more. I hope this brief message will bring you a measure of comfort in this difficult time.

Mrs.Dondes,
I want to express my condolences to you and your family. As a staff member at Caleb-Hitchcock, I witnessed your love and devotion to Mr. Dondes daily. You were an amazing and tireless advocate for him .One fond memory I have is when the Threshold Singers sang to you both outside on the porch. Mr. Dondes sang along and seemed to enjoy those moments. I hope that in time you will find solace in knowing that he is at peace. We will mlss you both.

I was very sorry to learn of Mort's passing. I taught with Mort for many years at Berlin High School and found Mort to be a very dedicated teacher who truly enjoyed working with his students. When I started at Berlin High, I was one of the younger staff members and I always appreciated Mort's willingness to share his experience and knowledge. He was a teacher who made a difference and a good and kind gentleman. He always had a smile and a kind word!

Mr Dondes was my freshmen SS teacher he was a nice kind hearted humerus man. I recall he had a cane after I believe a hip surgery and I was on crutches after a football injury. I held the door open and he challenged me to a race this was 24 years ago and I still remember it. God bless the family in this time of sorrow

As a student at Berlin High School (now preparing for my 50th graduating class reunion) I fondly remember "Mister Dondes" as a teacher who was thorough, who was demanding, who was compassionate, and who was a teacher's teacher. Rest cradled in the Hands of God, Mister Dondes.
