Dear Susan and Mark,
I'm so very sorry to read Muriel's obituary in this morning's Courant. I'm very saddened. Muriel and I had so many wonderful memories together. We grew up as good friends and next door neighbors on Walnut Street in Hartford many years ago in the 20's and 30's. we remained good friends and kept in touch all these years. Most recently I talked to Muriel after she came home from the hospital. She always said, "Florence, come live with me", as she knew I live alone. Soon I will be moving to Assisted Living in Silver Spring, Md. to be closer to my daughters and family. I would love to hear from you when you have time. I'll share my happy memories of Muriel with you.
Thinking of you,
Florence Litwinas Morkus

Dear Mark and Susan,
Please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of your mother. She and I were very good friends while working for the Dept of Welfare in Connecticut. We shared lots of good times and laughs both at work and other occasions. She was a smart, thoughtful and fun lady. I am very glad that our paths crossed and have wonderful memories of her.
