Muriel Werbner , 89 years of age, died March 27, 2016. Born in N.Y. she was the daughter of the late Izadore and Goldie Prince. She was predeceased by a sister , Elaine Prince, and by her husband of 68 years Alfred Werbner. Muriel was for many years the Executive Director of the Manchester Cancer Society. In that role she worked tirelessly to help those afflicted with the disease and to raise funds for research. She was an inspiration to all those who knew her for the way she approached life following the devastating impacts of a post surgery infection. For the past 23 years she lived as a quadruple amputee yet rarely ever complained. For her, family was her meaning for life. She leaves her son Steven R. Werbner and his wife Tish of Tolland, her daughter Marcy Klein and her husband Phillip of Manchester, her grandchildren Jessica Klein, Becky and Zac Halpern, Sarah and Rob Bedini, Andrew Klein, Kevin Werbner, kathleen Werbner and her great-grand daughter Taylor Bedini. Special thanks to Audrey Bownoth , her aid and dear friend of many years who cared for her with love and affection . Funeral Services will be at the grave site, Beth Shalom Memorial Park, Autumn St. , Manchester for friends and family on March 29, 2016 at 10:30.
