Myron ‘Sonny’ R. Flitt, 84 years of age, of West Hartford died at home, Friday, September 21, 2012, with his family at his bedside. He was the husband of the late Evelyn ‘Ecky’ (Land) Flitt. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Isadore and Molly (Kurtin) Flitt. He was the loving father of Linda Nadeau and her husband Brian of Farmington, Eileen Harris and her husband Michael of Portland, ME, and Sheila McKay and her husband Smith of Cambridge, VT; cherished grandfather of Edward Brancieri, Richard Brancieri, David Brancieri, Jared Harris and Samuel Harris; and brother of Annette Arren and her husband Jack of West Hartford, Faye Baron and her husband Ernie of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Rita Brown of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was predeceased by his sisters, Ethel Frank, Ruth Jacobson, Beatrice Ginsberg, Theresa Goldberg, Edith Calendar, Lillian Michaels, Sandra Garston, and Bella Benmoar.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Yitzchok Adler officiating. Interment will follow in the Teferes Israel Synagogue Cemetery, East Granby. A memorial period will be observed at his home, 34 Fox Meadow Lane, West Hartford, Tuesday following the interment.
