Nathan Bobrow 88, of West Hartford, CT and Delray Beach, FL passed away peacefully on March 24, 2014. Born in Hartford, son of the late Sam and Sarah, he leaves behind three sons and their wives, Randy & Dorie of West Hartford, Scott & Ellen, of Wethersfield, and Jeffrey & Donna of Bloomfield, 13 grandchildren, Austin Bobrow, Jamie & Cyndee Bobrow, Evan & Dina Bobrow, Kimberly & Jason DiBella, Mindy & Jeremy Jason, Randa & Joe Muzzio, Lynn McKenney & Tim Wright, 8 great grandchildren, his sister Helen Rosenthal, of Palm Desert, California, sister in law Fremet Clymer, of Delray Beach, Florida, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Sally, two sons, Lewis and David, and his brother, Jack. Nate served in the US Navy, and then worked for, and retired from, CT Transit. Nate loved the beach and spent many summers at Old Colony Beach in Old Lyme with his family. He loved to work and had a great sense of humor. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Red Sox, and was a longtime member of Beth Hillel synagogue. The family would like to extend thanks to the caring staff at Hebrew Healthcare of West Hartford, especially Trish, Farhin, Sherel, and the rest of the staff on Four South. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday March 26, 2014 at the chapel of Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT, with Rabbi Philip Lazowski officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday from 1pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm, at the home of Randy & Dorie Bobrow, 28 Carlyle Rd., West Hartford, CT.
