GREENSTEIN, Noah Greenstein, 89, of Bloomfield, CT, formerly of West Hartford, CT and Massapequa Park, NY, died on September 10, 2008 at John Dempsey Hospital. He was the loving husband of Janet Greenstein, adored father of Margery Steinberg and her husband Lewis, and Ellen Teitelbaum, and the proud grandfather of Abigail and Jordan Teitelbaum. Born in Brooklyn, NY on May 5, 1919, Noah was a graduate of NYU. He worked as an accountant for several prestigious New York firms. A Sargent in the US Army, he served in World War II in Africa. In his retirement, Noah was an avid bridge player. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, and doting on his grandchildren. Upon moving to Connecticut some 8 years ago, he became an active volunteer for the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, and with Janet received an outstanding volunteer award from the organization in 2003. Noah had a wonderful sense of humor and was kind to everyone. He will be missed. The family wished to express our deep appreciation to Althea Pinnock, Leah Wright and Rafael Rolon, who lovingly cared for Noah during the final stages of his life, and to the staff at John Dempsey Hospital and Caleb Hitchcock Health Center for their compassion during his illness.
