Marc and Sally,
I will always remember Phyllis as my best English teacher who never, ever, let a singular antecedent co-exist with a plural pronoun. Thank you Phyllis. You were a friend who always invited me into your house with open arms and a sweet laugh. I'll miss you. Love to all.

Dear Marc,
In 1968, on the first Hartford trip to Israel, we spent the most delightful Shabbat with Phyllis and Johnny, in Jerusalem, walking, drinking coffee and sharing pastries, and talking, talking, talking. That was our first meeting - but we have always felt the warmth of their personalities and remembered that lovely day. May both their memories be as blessings to you and yours.

Marc and Sally,
Our deepest sympathies on the passing of your mom. Phyllis was a grand lady, and extraordinary woman in both her soul and her level of accomplishments. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and family in general. Her life was well lived, and the love and devotion you all provided in her care meant the world to her. May she rest in peace and may her memory be for a blessing.
