The family mourns the loss of Rhoda L. Gorfain of Farmington, formerly of Newington who died Wednesday, June 8, 2022.  She was predeceased by her husband Perry Gorfain, her long time love of many years, and her daughter Ilene Gorfain.  Born in Norwich, CT she was the daughter of the late Irving and Jennie Levy.  She leaves her two daughters Jenelle G. Sujat and her husband Richard of Taverier, FL, and Elyse G. Banak and her husband Steven of Holliston, MA.  She was the proud grandmother (Mimi) of Alexa Sujat and her husband Max Goliger, Peyton Sujat, Julianna Banak, Carolyn Banak, and Heath Banak.  She also leaves her caretaker and companion, Blossom.  She was a graduate of UCONN and Central Connecticut State University.  She had a career as a social worker, teacher, and then administrator of the Cromwell School System.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.  Her family wants to express their gratitude to all of the aides that have worked with her through the years.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to HARC or the Parkinson’s Foundation or donor’s choice.  May her memory be a source of strength and a blessing.  There will be a graveside funeral service June 10th at 12:00PM at Beth Alom Cemetery, New Britain, CT.
