Robert H. Nathan, 85, of Dresher, PA, formerly of Hartford, died Sunday, April 27, 2008. Born on May 24, 1922 in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Simon and Sylvia (Gelfman) Nathan. He graduated from Tech High School, Springfield, MA, attended Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY, and graduated from Harvard Law School, Cambridge, MA. He was a Lieutenant who served as a Navigator in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a partner in the law firm of Gilman and Marks in Hartford. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis (Zarchen) Nathan; three daughters: Lynn Israel and her husband Jack, Deborah Nathan, and Joan Nathan and her husband James King; two grandsons: Benjamin Israel and David King; and a sister: Joyce Neumann and her husband Lee. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment following in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. A Memorial Period will be observed at the home of Shirley and Irving Rosenthal, 1 Echo Lane, Avon on Wednesday following the funeral until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 1-5 PM and 6:30-8 PM.
