I stopped by the house yesterday just before noon to join you in shiva but no one was there. I knocked and rang the bell. I was sorry not to pay my respects in person. I have many enjoyable memories of Ron, from singles Lions to singles dances and just plain conversations about life and the value of his house. We ran dances, fixed playground equipment, had meetings. I am sure you are receiving many such notes as your dad, friend was involved in so many projects and was always interested in whatever anyone was doing. I did the newsletter for our group so we spent lots of time on the phone deciding what news we should impart. Many people will feel Ron's loss; I being one of them.

To whom it may concern:
Our Teaneck Shiva was a success, We had dozens of visitors from near and far. Thanks to Cong. Beth Aaron and a few special people we conducted services from Sunday Afternoon (05/03) through today Friday (05/08). Most people were able to stop by. My apologies for the few that came buy while I was resting or indisposed and there was no one at the door to answer. Some of you were kind enough to leave us notes. Thank you

A contingent of Hartford based cousins in this areas as well as a contingent of former Hartford people from Rockland County came in and shared memories of "Ronnie" from before my (Richie's) birth. Even some memories of New London days. Lots of memories were shared.

We set up a box to collect used eyeglasses for the Lions Club. The poignant Lion's Club Memorial Ceremony was desscribed to visitors. And many of Syd Shulman's touching and humorous accounts were also recounted - especially the cup of coffee in Poughkipsie

I would like to thank the Weinstein's for this high tech vehicle to share some really fond memories. I plan to make time to share a few more

Richard Wolpoe on behalf of the Teaneck Wolpoe branch
