Ronald Woolwitch, born on August 16, 1930, of West Hartford, died Friday, November 26, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford. Ron worked for a variety of companies, including: Beckenstein Enterprises, AT&T, the State of Connecticut, and the Hartford Courant. Ron received his bachelor’s degree from Earlham College and received his Master’s in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He educated and guided many Russian families as they first immigrated to this country, helping them with the English language, transportation, preparation for job interviews and numerous other daily activities. He treasured the friendships that grew from these relationships. He leaves his wife Marion (Quint Levine) Woolwitch; three stepchildren, their spouses and six grandchildren: Barry Levine, his wife Carole and their children Daniel and Jessica of Canton, MI; Nancy Levine, her husband Steven Humphrey and their children Michael and Katherine of Warren, NJ; Alan Levine, his wife Joyce and their children Samantha and Matthew of Westwood, MA; six cousins: Jerome Brown, Stanley Brown, Mark Gorman, Stuart Gorman, Harold Lappin, and Marc Rhodes. Ron leaves his dog, Belle, a companion always at his side. Private interment will be in the Beth Hillel Cemetery, East Granby on Sunday, December 5, 2010, with Rabbi Yitzchok Adler officiating. A memorial service will be held later at a date to be determined. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, as Ron contributed to ACS in the memory of his mother, Isabelle Woolwitch, or to a place of your choice. RON WILL BE MISSED MORE THAN ANY WORDS CAN DESCRIBE. FOR OVER
45 YEARS IT WAS A RARE WEEK WHEN WE DIDN'T TALK AT LEAST TWO
OR THREE TIMES A WEEK. HE WAS A VERY VERY IMPORTANT PART OF
MY LIFE. I RELIED ON HIM FOR ADVICE,CONSOLATION WHEN I WAS
DOWN,AND SHARING ALL THE SPECIAL EVENTS IN MY LIFE.
WE TRAVELED TOGETHER, ALONG WITH OUR SPOUSES,AND I HAVE MANY
FOND MEMORIES OF THOSE TRIPS.I LOVED HIM VERY MUCH!

We will miss Ron. He was a good and generous person. I'll never forget that years ago he volunteered to get the special medicine that my late dog needed. Rose and Mickey

We will never forget Ron.
He gave us so much! There were literally no limits in his compassion. We will never forget his kindness and eagerness to help. We will not forget his remarkable personality. Ron was a noble man. His tactfulness, honesty, the warmness of his smile will live in our hearts.
