LEVIN, Rose E. (Cohn) Levin, 95, of West Hartford, died Sunday, October 7, 2007 peacefully at home. She was the beloved wife of Wilbur Levin for 70 years until his death in 2004. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rebecca Weissman Cohn. She leaves her two daughter, Reba Levin Nassau and her husband Arthur Nassau of Avon, and Nanette Levin of Avon and her friend Lars Guldager of West Hartford; four grandchildren, David Nassau and his wife Maria of Simsbury, Lauren Carter and her husband Jeffrey of West Hartford, Stephen Moulton of New Hartford, and Rachel Moulton-Rosenberg and her husband Graham of Carmel Valley, CA; and seven great-grandchildren, Nicole and Alyssa Breault, Madison Carter, Ava and Tristan Nassau, and Aubrey and Wyatt Moulton. She also leaves a brother Solon Cohn and his wife Maxine of Newington. She was predeceased by her brother Max Cohn and her sister Maida Weinstein. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 11:30 am at the Beth David Synagogue Cemetery, (behind the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery), 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield with Rabbi Gary Atkins officiating. A memorial period will be observed Tuesday following the funeral through Thursday evening, October 11, at the home of her daughter Reba Nassau. The family wishes to express its gratitude to her loving and gentle caregivers, Rachael Kagoro, Ruth Nyakaana, Julie Stevens, and Hyacinth Brown, and to the excellent VNA Hospice team, and to Joyce Harmon APRN, all of whom allowed her to live her last days in the comfort of her home.
