Rose R. ?Roz? (Jaffee) Taylor, 86, passed away at her New Haven home on July 6, 2008. The daughter of the late Barnett and Ida (Mopsic) Jaffee, she was born in Norwich, and raised in Hartford. Her husband, Philip L. Taylor, predeceased her. She leaves behind her beloved and devoted son, Robert Taylor and his wife Jenny, of New York City, NY; and her daughter, Nancy Vineburgh, and her husband Jim, formerly of West Hartford, who now live in Bluffton, SC. She is also survived by two grandchildren: James Vineburgh, Jr. and his wife Mary Margaret, of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Philip T. Vineburgh of Boston, MA. Additionally, she has two great-grandchildren, Victoria and James Vineburgh III of Cedar Rapids, IA. She is also survived by a sister, Esther Weiner and her husband Stan of Avon; a brother Jay Jaffee and his wife Rita of West Hartford; and a brother Sy Jaffee of Delray Beach, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers A. James Jaffee and Jack Jaffee, and her sister Sylvia Brightman.
A graveside funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 10:00 am at the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Heart Association, 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301.
