WOLFSON, Rose Wolfson, 99, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2007 in Avon. She was born in Naponoch, NY in 1907. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Martin Wolfson, who died in May 1990. They were married in 1928. Her parents were Ethel and Jacob Kasofsky who arrived in this country in 1906. Her mother was an early pioneer of the hotel industry in the New York Catskills. She was predeceased by her sister Shirley Lucks and brother Raphael Kasofsky. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Judith Wolfson. She is survived by her son, Nicholas Wolfson of Avon; her granddaughter, Amy Wolfson and her husband Andrew Futterman; her grandson, Adam Wolfson and his wife Dorothea Wolfson; and her great-grandchildren, Noah, Margaret, Thomas, Alexander and Rachael. She is also survived by her friend and nephew Jay Kasofsky. She was a loving and compassionate matriarch of her devoted family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved her books, they were her life and passion. There are no calling hours. A gravesite funeral service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 1:30 PM at Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon.
