S. RUTH LUBKA, 58, of West Hartford, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of Regina (Jacobs) Lubka of West Hartford and the late Samuel Lubka. Ruth graduated from Conard High School, received a B.A. degree in Art History and graduated Cum Laude with Honors in her major at Barnard College in New York City. She did graduate studies in Jewish Art and Material Culture at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in New York City. She received a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She was a former Deputy Chief Staff Attorney for the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts in Hartford. Besides her mother she leaves her husband, Igor Muraviev; her sister, Cynthia Rabinowitz and her husband Allen of Old Bethpage, NY; a niece, Emily Rabinowitz; and a nephew, Adam Rabinowitz.. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Philip Lazowski officiating. Interment will follow in Beth David Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield. A memorial period will be observed Sunday following the funeral through Tuesday evening at the home of her mother, 44 Portage Rd., West Hartford.
