Saul

(M.)

Greenstein

Obituary

Connecticut lost a very good man. Dr. Saul Greenstein died very peacefully in his Farmington home. He was an internist with the Newington VA Hospital, then a research MD with Merck. All along a great father of two and husband of Eunice Kemler Greenstein. In retirement he was one of the early seniors teaching others basic computing skills as a volunteer a the local library. He snow-skied ’til he was 85, was active with bowling, golf, and men’s clubs in his retirement, and played chess until just two years ago. He loved Connecticut — tried Florida for a few winters with wife Eunice and visiting daughter Lauren, but said he felt CT was special year-round. He is survived by granddaughter Kaila Rose Forstein of California, caregivers Genean, Jean, and Wayne, and son Mark Stewart Greenstein of Farmington. A funeral will be at Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery 1361 Berlin Turnpike Wethersfield on Tuesday at 5:30pm sharp. Shiva will be at 1106 Fienemann Rd. Farmington Tuesday nite, then 3 – 11pm Wednesday, Thursday & Tuesday. More is at www.weinsteinmortuary.com

It saddens me that Saul passed away.
He was a loyal synagogue attendee...
An avid skier....we often skied together.....talked about sharing a ski trip out West.that unfortunately never materialized.
His.memmory is a blessing

Mark: Thinking of you at this sad time. Sorry I don't live close enough to tell you this in person. You have been a wonderful son to a very deserving father. Take care. My best to you. Jacky Werner

My memory and first time meeting Dr. Greenstein is at his son's company picnic at Winding Trails quite a number of years ago. It was a very cold day and we decided to stand by the fire playing a game. Saul was having a great time playing the game with us. His responses were quite impressive!!!!

His son Mark provided a loving and caring environment for his Dad.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rest in Peace Saul,
Barbara Langdo

Uncle Saul was a great man and fellow physician. I remember when I was a little girl he came to visit my parents (Julius and Jo) and brought me a book titled Aesop Fables that he signed. I still have the classic in my collection. He will be missed.
