Selma White, 88, of West Hartford died Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Hebrew Home & Hospital. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Lucy (Isaacson) White. Selma was in customer relations for over 25 years at Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Hartford. She was a life-long member of the Emanuel Synagogue of West Hartford and did volunteer work at the American Red Cross. She was well-traveled and enjoyed the arts in Hartford. She was a supporter of and contributor to many philanthropic organizations. She leaves her nephew, Lawrence White and his wife Sally Weisman of Bloomfield; and a grand-nephew, Adam White, and three grand-nieces, Michelle, Sarah, and Nikolle White. She was predeceased by her brothers, Irving J. White, Meyer White, and Sammy White, and by her sister, Sadie Kammerman. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 27, 2008 at 9:30 am at the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield with Rabbi David J. Small officiating.
