Sheila passed peacefully at Cornell Medical Center on October 5 after a long illness. Sheila was a wonderful wife. We shared many good memories together. She was comfortable in formal settings and equally while we were out sailing or traveling together. Sheila leaves her daughter from her first marriage, Meredith Greisman, and her brother Mark and his wife Karin and her nephew Sam, and her sister Ronni. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Sidney and Claire Davidson who predeceased her. Sheila graduated from Lincoln High School and then graduated Mt. Sinai Nursing School with a Regent’s Scholarship. After graduating, she worked with Dr. James Holland who was a pioneer in chemotherapy. She went on to work at Massachusetts General Hospital. After her first marriage, Sheila completed the program at the Yale Child Study Center. She spent the remainder of her career caring for premature babies with developmental issues. She adored babies and children. Sheila was very bright and not much got past her. Her daughter graduated number one in her Masters Program at NYU Business School. Sheila was a great dancer, loved culture and classical literature and music. I will carry her memory always and miss her terribly. Husband Henry Eli Jacobs MD JD.
