I am so sorry to learn of sheldon's passing. I was a neighbor at the "600" and enjoyed talking to him. I would see him often over the last few years and he always had a smile and kind words to say..He was a true gentleman...

I will never forget the many kindnesses that Sheldon showed me over the decades that I have been fortunate enough to be his friend. At Everitt Knitting, he gave me a chance to run a division even though I had no previous experience in the garment or knitting industry. He had faith in me and he mentored me. Even though Sheldon was my boss, I always felt that I worked "with him" not "for him" because that's the kind of man he was. He always treated you like an equal and a friend.
There has never been a better storyteller than Sheldon. He has made me laugh harder than anyone before or since. Who can forget the "big Pecker" or the "I need a bike" stories? And just recently in Jacksonville, he made me laugh so hard I made a spectacle of myself in the lobby of the Performing Arts Hall!
Stuart and Deena, I loved your father dearly and always will. You were both his pride and joy. We never had a conversation without him bragging about both of you. You were his moon and stars and Jessie was his sun. The world was a better place with Sheldon in it but he has surely left his mark on all who loved him and called him friend.
Love you more,
Claudia

I remember Sheldon's humor! He was very kind to me. He knew me as Gloria's little sister and Jerry's friend. He was especially kind when visiting my father, sister and I when my mother passed away!

We were so very sorry to read about your father's passing. We have fond memories of your family from way back---little league days,Stuart, and the many times that you, Deena, and Deborah were together. We hope all the good memories you have of both your parents will help you through this difficult time.
Fondly,
elsa and peter gassner
