Dear Lewis - If it's been a million years since you and Ruth have had contact, it's been 2 million for me. I have fond memories of you, your Mom and your Dad, and the passing of their generation is sad. My Aunt died yesterday, which is how I discovered Shirley's obituary - it's heartwarming to read that your Aunt Hinda is still alive. I hope all is well.

Lewis,
So sorry to hear about the death of your mom. I have fond memories of her. It's been a million years since we last saw each other. Perhaps we can reconnect at some future time.
My condolences to you and your family,
Ruth shapiro

Lewis and Susan,
We (the Shapiro family - Doris and Isaac and 3 daughters) lived down the street (Griswold Drive) from your family. I remember your Mom so well. I would have sent a note to you both, but I don't have addresses for the two of you. Your Mom brings back happy memories. I hope you and your families are OK.

Dear Lewis and family,
On behalf of our Hall High Class of 1970 we extend our sympathy to you on the loss of your Mother. I personally remember her
so well. I bumped into her over the past years and always asked for you. We were hoping one of these times you would be at one of our reunions. Hopefully you will make it to the next one. It would be great to see you! Best.....Shelley

Dear Susan and Lewis, I didn't know your Mom, but I knew your Dad. He often played golf with my father Lenny Karotkin. At times, my Dad took me to play with him, and your father was part of the foursome. I remember a very soft spoken man who always was very patient and kind to me as I sprayed golf balls all over the course (Stanley golf course). I must have been 10 or 12 years old. I remember that he died very young. My Dad thought very highly of your Dad and I think they were pretty good friends. As a side note, I lived in Harvard, MA and worked at Lancaster Animal Hospital right next door to Sterling until one year ago. I am sorry for the loss of your Mom.
Sincerely,
Fred Karotkin

Dear Susan and Lewis,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I remember Shirley well and was always very fond of her. I remember our mothers being friends, going swimming together in the summer and even the hand-me-downs from Susan that Shirley gave to my mom for me.

Best regards,
Gail Schnapp Ford
