Shirley Juster Kukin of Hartford, formerly of New York, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 after a long illness. She was born in Hartford, the daughter of Harry and Molly Juster. She spent her adult life as a loving caretaker of children. She leaves to mourn her beloved sister-in-law Edith Juster of New York and devoted nieces and nephews Hollace Juster of Connecticut, Joan Gitlin Sherman of Virginia, Mark Juster of North Carolina and Harlan Juster of New York. She also leaves a great-niece Meryl Juster of New York and 2 great-nephews David Juster of New York and John Needham of New York along with his wife Alison and great-great nephew Emmet Needham. She was pre-deceased by siblings Ruth Gitlin, Haya Katz, Faye Corliss, Lottie Constantin and Milton Juster. Shirley’s family extends its sincere thanks to the staff of Hughes Health and Rehabilitation for their compassionate care of Shirley and support to the family. Funeral will be graveside at Agudas Achim Synagogue Cemetery, Cleveland Ave. Ext., Hartford on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 12 noon.
