Shirley Ann Neistat, of West Hartford, died December 10, 2012. Born in Hartford on Sept. 9, 1931 to the late Sam and Mary (Smuckler) Neistat, she leaves her brother, Leonard (Eleanor) of Boynton Beach, FL and sister, Ruth (Alan) Whitman of Westlake Village, CA. Always in good humor and coral lipstick, Shirley will be remembered for her exquisite taste, choice of beautiful greeting cards, generous gifts and being the biggest fan of her nephews, nieces and their families. The family wishes to thank Dr. David Casey for his highly competent and attentive care. Shirley and I shared two study halls and an English class. We both got caught chewing gum but were able to talk our way out of a demit.A quite, serene gal who I remember fondly.

I spent a lot of time with Shirley and she meant so much to me..I appreciate how much she cared and worried about me when my mom past away..I'm going to miss seeing her and spending time with her..cooking for her, watching soap operas together...Shirley was a wonderful person who was always in a good mood and never complained..my heart goes out to her family..I'll miss her, trish
