John and Aunt Mimi,

David and I are tremendously sorry that we cannot be there with you today and send you both our heartfelt love and condolences. I had spoken to Uncle Syd perhaps three months ago or so, and it was a great pleasure, as always.

When your paternal Grandfather Joe Rudy a widower from Hartford , with his sons Burt and Syd married our maternal Grandmother, Ida Kaplan Solomon in 1927, her daughters Micki, our mother,Libby and Ruthye, instantly acquired two great brothers!

Uncle Burt and Aunt Sylvia and Uncle Syd and, you, Aunt Mimi, were a wonderful part of our childhood and early adulthood!

Love,

Nancy and David Savin

I have wonderful memories of Sidney. Another first cousin, Patti, and I visited Sidney and Mimi while they were still in West Hartford and will remember Sidney as he was then. My thoughts and prayers are with Sidney's family today. I'm sure that you have many happy memories to help you get through this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Trudy Pomerantz

Dear John

It was with great sadness I read your email this morning to learn of my "Uncle Sid's" passing. It is the termination of the final link with my father.

The memories of our families growing up in West Hartford remind me to this day how lucky we were - to have fathers such as Sid and Burt. We truly were fortunate sons. My love to my Aunt Mim.
