Stanton I. Revzon, 66, of Boyton Beach, FL and Niantic passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in New London on Sunday, (September 3, 2006). He was born in New Britain on March 1, 1940 the son of Herman and Celia (Epstein) Revzon. He is survived by his wife Rose Michaels-Revzon and his three children, Edward and Valerie Michaels of West Hartford, Rebecca and Glenn Holley of Hebron, and Sarah Michaels of New York City. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Victoria, Ronald, and Deanna Michaels and Rachel and Sam Holley. Mr. Revzon graduated from Rider College in Trenton, NJ in 1962 with a B.S. in accounting and also obtained a degree from the Hartford Institute of Accounting. Stan was an enrolled agent licensed to practice accounting by the Internal Revenue Service and started his own accounting practice, Stanton I. Revzon & Co. in 1968. In addition to his accounting career, Stan was an entrepreneur founding Airways Rent A Car in 1979 and Carey Astor Madison Avenue Limousine in 1986 as well as being actively involved in both commercial and residential real estate. Mr. Revzon was a founding member and a director of The Connecticut River Community Bank in Wethersfield. He also was a founder and president of the Enrolled Agents Association of CT and a past president of the Car and Truck Renting and Leasing Association of Connecticut and a board member of the Limousine Operators of CT. Stan was a member of the Mason’s and Chairman of the Memorial Park Committee for Temple Beth Torah. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 6 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in Temple Beth Torah, Memorial Park, Wethersfield. A Memorial period will be held at the home of his son, Edward Michaels, 29 Juniper Lane, West Hartford on Wednesday following the funeral through Thursday evening.
