Your mother was pure joy! We loved exchanging Michael Connelly's novels and tales from the trenches in PR and development--she was one of the very early women in PR. She was bright, insightful, vigorous and inclusive.
She could not have been nicer to me, and we loved laughing together over human foibles (not our own of course!).
She was so very proud of you and grateful for the loving attention, care and respect you gave her.

Dear dear Sam and Jimmy, My first stop in Hartford and first phone call was always to Sylvia. More than a cousin, more than a friend,
More than you can ever know how much I love her and treasure each time we had together. She and your dad were surrogate parents for me and guided me in so many ways. I feel so blessed to have been part of her life for so many wonderful years. May you draw strength from knowing the profound effect she had on all who knew her. Much love and hope to see you either here in Israel or there. Susan

I loved your mother's candor and wit--never a dull moment with "Aunt" Sylvia. She and Stanley were great friends of my parents. I still remember the beautiful Margaret O'Brien dolls she brought to me and my sister Susan. Heartfelt sympathy to you all.

I regret not being able to attend Sylvia's funeral as she and Stanley were among the first to warmly welcome Vickie and me to West Hartford. Her quick wit and sharp tongue were very endearing to me. May her memory always be a blessing!
