Dear Peggy and Wendy: Sorry to read about your Dad. He was very nice to my older brother and played a role in him becoming a physician.

We first met Walter and Ruth walking their dog who came to eat our fallen crab apples. They were always very active and wonderful neighbors and took an interest in our children, then just toddlers. Walter and Ruth were always so kind to call on a hot muggy day and tell us "The pool is open", and we admited Ruth's gardens, ate grapes and talked to Walter about asthma pharmacology. Our children thought of Walter and Ruth as special friends and they are sad to hear that Walter passed on this week. We haven't seen them as much due to our own again parents but we keep Dr. Walker in our hearts and memories. We know the sadness of loss and the knowledge that any pain for Walter has evaporated with his passing into the universe.
