William P. Abrahams, 100, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Waterbury, CT, died Sunday, August 17, 2008. Born in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Laura (Friedberger) Abrahams. He owned the former Williams Electronics and Lafayette Radio, both in Waterbury, before he retired. He was active in the Democratic Town Committee in Waterbury and B?nai Brith. He also belonged to Beth El Synagogue in Waterbury. He was predeceased by his first wife Edith (Bell) Abrahams and by a son, Joseph Abrahams. He leaves his wife, Ida (Fish) Abrahams; his son Ronald J Abrahams and his wife Brina of Vernon; four granddaughters, Lisa Abrahams, Lori Insero and her husband Mark, Lynne Abrahams, and Jody Sweetapple; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Farband Cemetery, CT-109 W, Morris, CT. A memorial period will be observed at the home of his son Wednesday following the funeral through Thursday evening.
