Abraham Weinberg

Abraham Weinberg, D.D.S., 98 years of age, of Bloomfield, formerly of Shreveport, LA (where he served as a Captain in the USAF) and West Hartford, died Friday, March 9, 2018. He was the husband of the late Natalie (Gilston) Weinberg. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Nathan Weinberg and Sara (Hurwitz) Weinberg. He leaves his daughters Shelley R. Riner and her husband Nelson of West Hartford and Linda Weinberg of Baltimore, MD; his sisters, Lillian Berman of Israel, Anne Goldman of West Hartford, Beatrice Goldberg of Avon, and his loving companion, Eleanor Jainchill of Bloomfield. Besides his wife, Abe was predeceased by his son, Richard M. Weinberg and his brother Jack Weinberg.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in the sanctuary of Beth El Temple, 2626 Albany Ave., West Hartford with Rabbis James Rosen and Stanley M. Kessler as well as Cantor Joseph Ness officiating. Interment will follow in the Emmanuel Synagogue Cemetery; 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chai Society at Beth El Temple or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
