Adeline “Lynn” (Kaufman) Freedman, 75, of West Hartford, wife of Elisha “Eli” Freedman, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 in Rockville, MD. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Frida (Lifton) Kaufman. Lynn was a 1947 graduate of Weaver High School, received a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University in 1951, and her Masters in Government Administration from Trinity College, Hartford in 1977. She was a Planner for the Commission on Aging for the State of Connecticut; a member of the American Arbitration Association and was an arbitrator/mediator. She had her own arbitration/mediation practice covering the Northeastern United States. Besides her husband, she leaves three sons: Jonathan Freedman of Caribou, ME; Noah Freedman and his wife Emily of Havertown, PA, and Jeremy Freedman and his wife Eileen of Loudonville, NY; a daughter: Anne Freedman of Simsbury; six grandchildren, a niece, a nephew, and several cousins. She was predeceased by a sister Rosalind. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 13th, 2005 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, with interment in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield. A memorial period will be observed at her home 6:00 PM Sunday through Tuesday afternoon.
