Ann (Shaffer) Gordon

Ann (Shaffer) Gordon, 97, of Loomis Drive, West Hartford, widow of Julius Gordon, died Friday, January 18, 2008. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ida (Gordon) Shaffer. She leaves a son, Michael Gordon and his wife Roberta of Storrs, a daughter, Ferne Hoffman and her husband Martin of Bloomfield, five grandchildren: Julie Hersh and her husband David, Hank Hoffman and his wife Ellen, Lee Hoffman and his wife Jamie, Jennifer Gordon and her partner Linda Steinman, and Andra Gordon-Gatica and her husband Randy, and a sister Evelyn Bader, of New York, NY. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford. Interment will follow in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Avon. A memorial period will be observed at the home of her daughter, Ferne, 9 Avery Rd., Bloomfield on Sunday following the funeral and Monday afternoon.
