Arthur Gross, 90 years old, born in New York City on September 2, 1924, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015. The most loving son, husband, father and grandfather. A man so devoted to his wife, family and friends.
He leaves behind the love of his life for 69 years, Florence Kessler Gross. He also leaves his two sons, Allan Gross and daughter in law, Annette Gross of Indiana and Carl Gross and daughter in law Deborah Gross of Farmington, CT, two grandsons, Matthew Gross of Indiana and Matthew Mcleod of Farmington, CT, a nephew Eric Gross, a niece Shelly Bond and a very special care giver and Angel, Isabel. He is predeceased by his parents, Aaron and Sarah (Schwimmer) Gross, mother and father in law, Leah and Julius Kessler, one brother, Monroe Gross and sister in law, Edith Gross.
Arthur served in the United States Army in World War II in Normandy and Battle of the Bulge, earning 6 Bronze Stars, one of which was pinned on by General Patton.
He lived most of his life in the Bronx, NY and worked as a machine operator in the furrier industry. After he and his wife retired, they moved to Boca Raton, FL where he enjoyed traveling and playing cards with his friends. He and his wife have lived in Farmington, CT for the past 6 years with son Carl Gross, daughter in law Deborah Gross and grandson Matthew McLeod where he enjoyed being with his family and making us laugh.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
