Barbara (Maltz) Namerow

Barbara Lynn (Maltz) Namerow, 71, of West Hartford, CT, passed away at home on Monday July 22, 2024. Born in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Sandra Maltz, and the sister of Janis Green, of Longmeadow, MA. A devoted wife, loving mother, and proud new grandmother, Barbara was a loyal protector and role model for her family, always putting them first. She loved nothing more than sharing a long meal with her loved ones. Barbara was an avid tennis fan who never missed a match and a book lover who enjoyed a good mystery. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Namerow, of West Hartford; her son Derek Namerow and his wife, Deborah; her son Blake Namerow and his fiancé, Isabel; and her granddaughter, Bailey. She also leaves behind her loyal friend, her dog, Mia. Funeral services will be held graveside, on Wednesday July 24, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Congregation Beth Israel Cemetery, 51 Jackson Street in Avon, CT with Rabbi Michael Pincus officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather immediately after the funeral for lunch and remembrance at the Namerow home. A memorial period, Shiva, will be observed at home on Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
