Bernice Berman

Born in 1925 in New Britain. Bunny died peacefully in Miami on February 11 after a long and full life. Bunny was a proud CT native and Weaver High grad, last living in West Hartford until becoming a snowbird and then a permanent resident of Boca Raton. She and Bob enjoyed the FL sun and their CT friends there for many happy years, but she never quite got over leaving behind the “Crown” Market. Her 59 year marriage to the late Bob Berman was a beautiful example of what lifetime love can be. She was also predeceased by daughter, Joy Risa, and son, Neil Jay. She is lovingly remembered and survived by Neil’s widow, Jill, of Miami, and grandsons, Zack and Ben, who adored their “Bubby.” If you wish to make a donation in her memory, the family suggests gifts to Miami Jewish Health Systems or Beth Hillel Synagogue in Bloomfield (the Joy Risa Berman Fund).
