Carole (Finman) Ehrlich

Carole Joan (Finman) Ehrlich, 74 of Old Lyme, formally of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2013. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to Stanley Ehrlich. Carole was born in Hartford June 29, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Lillian (Bloom) Finman. She is predeceased by her father-in-law Leslie Ehrlich, brother Joseph Finman and her eldest son Eric Ehrlich. Carole is survived by her mother-in-law Elsie (Katz) Ehrlich of Palm Springs, CA, her sister “Sis” and best friend Fraydele Massey and husband Arnie of Surprise, AZ. She was adored by her daughter, Debra Hurowitz and husband Mark, their children Scott and Alyssa of Hamden, daughter Renee Keane and husband John, their children Tyler, Cody, Sydney and Riley of Glastonbury, daughter Jill Ehrlich Jarvis her children Bobby and Blaire of West Hartford, son Josh Ehrlich and wife Suzy of Farmington, and her granddaughter Ashley Ehrlich of Newington, daughter of her late son. She loved spending time at their home at Old Colony Beach, surrounded by her family and many friends. Carole enjoyed hosting gatherings for family and their friends always with a smile. She will always be remembered for her famous sauce. Carole will be missed and remembered by all that who knew her. Funeral services will be held Sunday Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, with Rabbi Cohen officiating. Interment will follow in United Synagogue of Greater Hartford Memorial Park, 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, 06109. Shiva immediately following and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the home of her daughter Renee, 58 Augusta National, Glastonbury, 06033. Minyan Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , P.O Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 Donate to Tribute Account #32871381.
