Claire (Kaplan) Geetter

Claire (Kaplan) Geetter of Bloomfield died on Tuesday, February 6, 2007. Born in Hartford, she lived in the Hartford area all of her life. She was a former employee of Travelers Insurance Company. She was a former member of the Beth Hillel Synagogue of Bloomfield. Beloved wife for 64 years to the late Maurice Geetter; loving mother of Beverly and Arthur Shepard of Natick, MA, and Marilyn Horowitz and her late husband of Sunrise, FL; devoted grandmother of Stephen Shepard and Lisa Shepard, Karen Shepard and Glenn Kennedy, Susan Bores, Lisa and Donald Lewis, and Jay and Alison Horowitz; and great grandmother of Stella and Marni Shepard, Rayna and Scott Lewis, Megan Bores, Brittany, Justin and Daniel Lewis, and Joshua, Caleb, Emily and Rebecca Horowitz; sister of Sadie Greenspon, Sue Hutensky, Seymour and Rhoda Kaplan, and Everett and Rita Kaplan; sister-in-law of Nathan Geetter, Nora Kaplan and Selma Kaplan; sister to the late Buddy Kaplan, Sam Kaplan, Edward Kaplan, Maurice Kaplan, Adelaide Kalin, Betty Katzman, and Jack Kaplan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 12:30 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in the Jonathan Welfare Society Cemetery, Tower Ave., Hartford.
