Clara (Kushnir) Cushing

Clara (Kushnir) Cushing, 99, of Loomis Drive, West Hartford, widow of the late Isadore Cushing, died Monday, January 29, 2009. She was a former member of Beth Hillel Synagogue, Bloomfield, and its Sisterhood; and a former member of Red Mogen David, the Bloomfield Senior Center, and the Mandell JCC. She leaves a son, Edward Cushing and his wife Lynn of Delray Beach, FL, a daughter Mona Hurwitz and her husband Alan; five grandchildren: Iris ward and her husband Bob, Sharon Litvinoff and her husband Marc, Beth Luciano and her husband Richard, Lisa Cushing and Steven Cushing; and six great grandchildren: Ben, Lauren, Zachary, Joshua, Isabella, and Richie. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment following in the John Hay Memorial Park, Hartford. A Memorial period will be observed at the home of Mona & Alan Hurwitz, 1 Winding Brook Way, Simsbury through Tuesday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor?s choice.
