David Michael Horn

WEST HARTFORD - David Horn, age 30, sadly passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024. David was born on May 8th, 1993 in Hartford, CT the son of Gary and Debbie Horn of West Hartford. He is survived by his parents, his sisters Lily and Aubrey Horn, his Uncle Paul Horn, Aunts Susan and Melissa Doff and cousin Jason Savard. David was born prematurely at 24 weeks. He lost his twin brother Michael at birth. David weighed a mere one pound and spent many months at the NICU at St. Francis Hospital. David was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a one-year-old. He then started suffering from seizures at the age of three. David’s care and development took a village of wonderful people throughout the years. David grew up in West Hartford, having attended Norfeldt Elementary School, King Phillip Middle School, William H. Hall High School and finally graduating from The Oak Hill School in 2014. David was a staple in these communities and charmed every teacher, student, paraprofessional and anyone he came across. Loved and adored by all who met him, David’s positive attitude, infectious smile, hearty laugh, affectionate demeanor, and love of life was evident in everything and everyone he touched. David truly stole the hearts of many. He also loved to playfully steal the keys and cell phones from his loved ones (he always gave them back). He loved to FaceTime call his family and poodles regularly. He also enjoyed locking and unlocking car doors, sun roofs, car garages and start car ignitions, with permission. He loved long car rides with his family and eating at Taco Bell. David will be deeply missed by his family, friends and community. His memories will live on forever in everyone he met. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 12:30 pm sharp:

Beth El Cemetery ( 51 Jackson St, Avon, CT 06001)

There will also be a short evening service the same day at 5:30 pm, taking place at Beth El Temple (2626 Albany Ave, West Hartford, CT 06117)
