Dorothy (Brenner) Foster, 104, of North Miami, FL passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, December 14, 2020. She was the widow of Louis L. Foster and daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Gutmann) Brenner. Born in New York, NY, the youngest of 8 children, Dorothy grew up in Newtown, CT. Upon their marriage, Dorothy and Louis made their home in Manchester, CT, were active members of the community and Temple Beth Sholom (Beth Sholom B’nai Israel) until moving to Miami to spend their retirement years with their loving families. Dorothy is survived by her son Dr. Samuel C. Foster and his wife Janet of Beverly, MA, her grandson Russell Mofsky and his wife Kristen McLean of Miami and her great granddaughter Lola Mofsky-McLean, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son David Sherman Foster when residing in Manchester. She was also predeceased by sisters Anna Brenner Myers, Sarah Hochman, Gertrude Bergad, Muriel Bernstein and brothers William Brenner, Herman Brenner and Robert Brenner all of Miami, FL. Private funeral services were held Monday, December 21, 2020 at Beth Sholom B’nai Israel Synagogue Memorial Park in Manchester, CT.
