Ethel (Rosen) Goodman

Ethel (Rosen) Goodman, 95, of Wesleyan Terrace, Bloomfield, died Monday, November 12, 2012. Born in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lena (Kaufman) Rosen. She was the widow of George Goodman to whom she was married for 72 years. She was a member of Beth Hillel Synagogue of Bloomfield, and had been a volunteer for many years at the American Cancer Society. She leaves her son, Stan Goodman of Windsor; her daughter Barbara Shapiro and her husband Norm of Newington; her grandson Todd Shapiro and his wife Jill of Ballston Spa, NY; and her great granddaughter, Zoe Shapiro. Ethel was a dear, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. A private graveside service will be held today, Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice. The family would like to give a special thank you to care givers Tina and Charlotte for their wonderful care and to the staff at Bloomfield Health Care Center for their compassion.
