Florence (Ginsberg) Michaelson

Florence (Ginsberg) Michaelson, 92, of West Hartford, beloved wife for 55 years of the late Elliott Michaelson, died peacefully Friday morning, April 8, 2022. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ida (Kostin) Ginsberg. Loved by all who knew her, she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, and going out with the many friends she accumulated over the years. She will be remembered for the joy she brought everyone she met. “Laugh and the world laughs with you,” she often said. She is survived by her children, Jeffery and Randy; grandchildren, Gregory and Gianna; brother-in-law Saul and many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother Meyer. A graveside funeral service will be held with Rabbi Jim Rosen officiating on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Beth El Temple Cemetery, 51 Jackson St, Avon. There will be a reception immediately following at Beth El Temple, 2626 Albany Ave, West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ukrainian Red Cross or acharity of the donor’s choice.
