Harriet Gilson

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Harriet (Oren) Gilson, preceded in death by her daughter, Stacy (Keith) Dunoff, survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jerome, her daughters Natalie (Christopher) Flanagan, Jill (Jeffrey) Shavitz, her sister Susan Volpe and her nine beautiful grandchildren, two great grandsons and nephews and niece who all were the light of her life. Harriet’s long life was filled with her passions of travel, traditions and the thing that she enjoyed the most were family gatherings. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends and it brought her great joy to contribute, in all of her special ways, to all whom she cherished. Harriet was a member of the Beth El Temple of West Hartford for over 50 years. Private graveside funeral was held on January 8th with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. May Harriet’s memory be a source of strength and blessing.
