Hava (Kane) Dunn

Hava (Kane) Dunn, of Pioneer Dr., West Hartford, widow of Peter Dunn, died Tuesday (September 23, 2008). Born in Hartford she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Nemeroff) Kane. She was a graduate of Bennington College and had done graduate work at Harvard University. Mrs. Dunn recently retired as writing specialist for the Farmington School System. She is survived by a son, Benjamin Dunn and his wife Kimberly of Crested Butte, CO; a daughter, Stephanie Dunn and her husband Mark Smith of New Portland, ME; a sister, Susan Alter and her husband Dr. Elliot Alter of West Hartford; a grandson, Peter Dunn. Funeral Services will be Friday, 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with burial in Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon with Rabbi James Rosen officiating.
