Irene (Sara Gordon) Davidson

Irene Sara (Gordon) Davidson of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Hartford and West Hartford, died Friday, July 7, 2006. Born in Holyoke, MA on January 27, 1914, she lived her entire married life in Hartford and West Hartford. Mrs. Davidson was the wife of the late Jack Davidson for 61 years. She was a life time member of the Emanuel Synagogue both in Hartford and West Hartford. She was an active board member of the Emanuel Sisterhood and her children’s PTA. She lived for two years at Hoffman Summerwood before moving to the Kutz Home in Wilmington, DE. She is survived by a daughter, Roanne Davidson Estrin of Wallingford, PA; a son, Dr. Lawrence M. Davidson of North Caldwell, NJ; five grandchildren: Kevin F. Davidson, Dr. Jamie S. Davidson, Dr. Stefanie L. Davidson Kist, Dr. Jason T. Estrin, and Robert D. Estrin. She was predeceased by her brother, S. Earl Gordon and sister, Eva Rose Korman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Raphael Friedman officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Hartford. Shiva will be observed at the home of her daughter, Roanne, in Wallingford, PA.
