Irving Schein

Irving Schein October 10, 2015 at Uconn Health Center. Born in Brooklyn, he graduated from Uconn with honors. An educator, innovator in the Hartford School system. Area representative for the AFL-CIO HRDI. Served as instructor at Goodwin Tech in New Britain. Recently Director of International Consulting and Trade Associates a company devoted to training educators and parents in cognitive education. A lifetime member of the board of directors for Beth David Syng in West Hartford. Irv was pre-deceased by his parents Morris and Florence Schein. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 57 years Selma Zukowsky Schein. Children Charles (Jill), Miriam Liss (Anton), Seth. Grandchildren Lauren, Aaron and Jillian Schein and Jacob, Rachael and Eva Liss. Former daughter-in-law Jeannette Brodeur (Todd). Also brother and sister in law Harvey and Renee Schein of Dallas, TX. Sister-in Law Harriet Lavenda of Skokie, IL and Ida Zukowsky, Delray Beach, FL. Funeral at Weinstein’s Wednesday at 1pm. Shiva at the Schein home. Contributions to Beth David Syng or charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
