Jacob "Jack" (I.) Esterson

Jacob “Jack” I. Esterson, 83, of Griswold St., Glastonbury, husband of Evelyn (Parker) Bettauer, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Born in Rockaway, NY, he was the son of the late Samuel and Ethel (Gordon) Esterson. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II. A graduate of Syracuse University, he received his Masters degree in psychology from The New School, NY, and his Ph.D from The University of Connecticut. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Michael Esterson of New York, a daughter Willa Kaiser of Santa Cruz, California, and three grandchildren: Rachel, Joshua and Sita. A graveside service will be held TODAY, Friday, June 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Ridgewood, NY. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford.
