Jameson ('Jamie') Garfield

Jameson “Jamie” Garfield, 24, formerly of West Hartford, passed away suddenly on September 2, 2006 in Boston. Jamie was a graduate of the Kingswood Oxford School with honors and the University of Colorado. Since graduation, he was New England Senior Area Manager for Izze beverages and achieved great success in the marketing of product for this upcoming company. Jamie was known for his kind, loving and loyal nature, his work ethic and his sharp wit. He was an avid music lover and sportsman, playing ice hockey through college and enjoying hiking and snowboarding. Jamie was the much loved son of Diana and Gerry Garfield and stepson of Whitney Whitaker. His sister Stephanie, brother Jeremy, sister-in-law Kelley and nephews Tyler and Connor will miss him dearly. The family would also like to recognize Jamie’s “band of brothers” from his Kingswood Oxford years, wonderfully loyal friends always ready to support each other. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 6th at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, with interment in the Beth El Temple Cemetery in Avon. Following the interment a period of mourning will be observed at the home of Judy and David Rosenthal, 125 Westerly Terrace, Hartford until 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jamie’s memory to the Kingswood Oxford School, 170 Kingswood Road, West Hartford, CT 06119.
