Janice (Lieberman) Felson

Janice Barbara Felson (Lieberman), widow of Charles, died Monday, October 25 in Scarborough, Maine. She was born to Samuel and Martha Lieberman in Brooklyn, NY and lived for more than 40 years in West Hartford Connecticut before a wonderful retirement in Quechee, VT for 18 years and later to Maine. She attended Adelphi Academy and Adelphi College. She taught piano to generations of youngsters in West Hartford and worked alongside her husband in town Democratic politics. She was an avid lover of music, travel, food, fashion, crossword puzzles, reading, and especially entertaining which she did with panache. She leaves three sons, Matthew (Rhonda), Adam, and Ethan (Daniel), a daughter-in-law Victoria, and four grandchildren, Rachel, Zack, Hannah, and Seth. She was predeceased by a son, Seth. Contributions in her memory may be made to Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, A Wider Bridge, or Congregation Shir Shalom, Woodstock VT. Arrangements entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford on Thursday, October 28 at 1 pm, Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating.
