Jean (Lorinstein) Ellen

Jean Lorinstein Ellen passed away peacefully on April 6 in West Hartford, CT. She was born on March 5, 1915 to Fannie (Sachs) and Isidore Goldenberg in Norristown, PA and was the stepdaughter of Simon La Van. She was predeceased by husbands Charles Lorinstein and Herman Ellen. Jean is survived by her loving children, Harriet and husband Jay Cudrin of West Hartford, CT and Barry and wife France Lorinstein of New Rochelle, NY; grandchildren Rachel Cudrin D’Argenio and husband Michael of Hoboken, NJ and Lisa Cudrin Sadinsky and husband Scott, and her great-grandchildren Dara and Abigail Sadinsky also of West Hartford. Jean was known for her elegance and grace and was an extraordinary bridge player into her nineties. Jean?s family would like to thank the staff of the Hebrew Home for their kindness and compassion. Graveside services will be TODAY, April 7, 2010 at 1:30 PM at Roosevelt Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA. Shiva will be observed at the home of Harriet and Jay Cudrin in West Hartford, CT on Thursday from 2 - 9 PM and Friday from 2 PM until sundown.
