Judith (Ann) Conway

Judith Ann (Strelser) Conway of West Hartford, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 28, 2009, after a short illness. She was born in West New York, NJ on July 27, 1931, daughter of the late Israel and Fannie (Brynin) Strelser. She devoted her life to nurturing her husband, children and grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly. Aside from her family, Judy was passionate about the welfare of people. She was selfless, principled, and generous of spirit and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dr. Mark Conway, her children and their spouses Dr. Stephen Conway and Sharon Conway, Wendy and John Schmidt and Susan and Charles Knapp and her grandchildren Thomas, Michael and Alexandra Schmidt, Sarah, Jacob and Nomi Conway, and Emily and Caroline Knapp. No words can express the family’s appreciation to her physicians Drs. Steven Horowitz, Stephen Firshein and John D’Avella. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. Interment will follow in the Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery in East Granby.
