Judyth N. Walker-Grant

Judyth N. Walker-Grant, of North Granby, CT, died on Tuesday, August 17. She was born in Hartford, CT to Priscilla (Swett) and the late Harold Walker. Judy will be remembered as a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Judy will also be remembered fondly as a talented artist and chef, as well as a lover of travel, gardening, music, witty retorts, and all things cats. She is survived by her mother, Priscilla Walker of New Hartford, CT; husband, Alan Grant of North Granby, CT; daughter, Vanessa Carson-Sasso, her wife, Patty and grandson, Jack Carson of Plymouth, MA; sister Patricia Walker of Nokomis, FL; brother, Harold Walker, Jr of New Hartford, CT; brother James Walker and his wife, Bette of Rowley, MA, mother-in-law, Toby Grant of Albany, NY; brother-in-law, Mel Grant of Burlington, VT and his wife, Wendy, eight nieces and nephews, and cat, Luna. She was predeceased by her sister Sandra Dews; father Harold Walker; and father-in-law, Harry Grant. A graveside service will take place on Friday, August 20 at 1PM at Beth El Temple Cemetery, 51 Jackson St., Avon, CT. Shiva will be held at the family home in North Granby, CT on Sunday from 12-4PM and Monday through Thursday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Connecticut Art School, South Windsor, CT or Connecticut Arts Alliance, Waterbury, CT.
